MTN Ghana CEO appointed as Regional Vice President
MTN Ghana CEO have been appointed as the new regional Vice president of the Southern and East Africa and Ghana (SEAGHA) Region.
Mr Ebenezer Asante, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, on October 1, 2017 was appointed as the new Vice President (VP) of MTN Group’s altered Southern and East Africa and Ghana (SEAGHA) Region.
The new SEAGHA Region includes the telecommunications operations in Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, South Sudan, Botswana and Swaziland, along with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Kenya, Namibia and Botswana.
Mr Asante who have occupied the MTN Ghana CEO position for the past two(2) years was appointed the VP SEAGHA role after Godfrey Motsa the former VP was appointed CEO of MTN South Africa about seven months ago.
MTN Group President and CEO, Rob Shuter, lauded the appointment of Mr. Asante, whose experience before MTN includes 13 years at consumer goods company Unilever as Managing Director Zambia and Customer Development Director.
Mr. Asante will report directly to the Group President and CEO who is now a member the MTN Group’s Executive Committee.
